Ugh, reformer waitlists...
So... I’ve been on the waitlist for my favorite 7am reformer class for three weeks now?? I show up early, I tip well, I even brought my own mat?? But every time someone cancels, the system just... glitches? I get a notification that says ‘spot available’ then POOF it’s gone before I can click?? Any other souls stuck in the algorithm limbo of studio booking apps??
I’m starting to feel like a ghost in my own routine... anyone have tips for actually securing a spot without camping out at the desk??
Why does Pilates feel like a chore lately???
I used to love the flow of it... the way controlled breathing synced with movements... but lately it’s just... tedious? Like, the 100s and leg circles are supposed to be relaxing but my mind keeps racing about ‘am I doing this right??’ or ‘why is my lower back killing me today??’... I’m supposed to be flexible, not a pretzel with a headache. Am I overthinking it... or underworking it?? Also, why do instructors always say ‘engage your core’ like it’s a lightswitch?? My core’s like... I’m trying, okay?? Has anyone else felt this disconnect between intention and execution??
