I’m starting a small collection of 12‑inch vinyl and want something that’s solid, not overhyped, and stays relevant for years. My budget is about $30 per record. I’m looking for classic rock, folk, or early alternative – nothing too obscure. I’m skeptical of reissues that are just repressed masters with no real improvement and of buying from big chains that often sell records in questionable condition. Where can I find good condition records in that price range? Which titles would you recommend that fit these criteria? I’m open to criticism if the record is a mistake or a waste of money.
