Can anyone explain this sensor drift thing?
I’ve been fiddling with my new DIY arm for the past week, and the joint angle readings start wobbling after a few minutes of idle. The issue seems to pop up regardless of the power source or firmware version. I double-checked all the wiring, solder joints look solid, and the code is a straightforward PID loop, yet the sensor still drifts. It’s frustrating because the hardware is cheap enough that I expected more stability. Has anyone dealt with this on the same scale? I’m leaning towards adding a periodic recalibration routine, but I’m not sure if that’s just masking the problem or actually fixing it…

Spent an hour trying to cram the nutrient solution calculations for my upcoming grow cycle, only to have the Pomodoro app crash right at the 25‑minute mark. I was mid‑note on the EC‑pH interaction and the timer just froze, forcing me to restart everything. It might sound petty, but losing that tight interval means I either power‑through without the scheduled break or stop entirely, both of which wreck my concentration rhythm. I’ve tried a few other timers, but they either lack a proper pause function or spam me with notifications. Anyone else hit the same wall with their study‑session timers, or is it just me being overly picky about timing precision?
Are hydroponic systems vulnerable to contamination like soil-based farms?
I've been reading about the benefits of hydroponics but I'm still skeptical about the risks. I mean, what if someone uses a contaminated nutrient solution? Wouldn't that be a disaster for the entire crop? I've heard of cases like the 1993 FDA peanut butter contamination that caused major recalls... couldn't that happen with hydroponics too? Doesn't it kinda defeat the purpose of growing without soil if you're still gonna have to worry about waterborne pathogens? Anyone got thoughts on this?
nervous stuttering is the Worst
told em' abt my setup at a local workshp... froze hard mid-sentnce???... knew my lettuces grew faster but the words just... dead. now they think i'm a terrible person lol...
