Do you ever feel like you're overanalyzing performances?

I was just watching a recording of a play I saw last week and I found myself picking apart every little detail, from the set design to the actors' line deliveries. It's like I'm trying to dissect the entire production to understand what made it tick. I know I'm not alone in doing this, but it got me wondering - is this level of scrutiny normal for theater enthusiasts? Or am I just being overly critical? I feel like it's a delicate balance between appreciating the art and tearing it apart to understand the craft. Do you guys ever find yourselves doing the same, or am I just being a drama nerd?
