so after digging through a bunch of old monastic scribbles i actually proved the whole "dark ages" hype is nonsense..
people love saying everything fell apart 500-800 CE but the trade routes were humming and literacy was spiking in places i never expected.
anyone else still buying that oversimplified narrative? 🤔
