Help: Just earned my ACSM CPT credential - how to translate it into gym hiring edge?
Just unlocked my ACSM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) badge yesterday (model #ACSM-CPT2023). Feels like a tiny milestone but... kinda huge for my career track. ποΈββοΈ
I'm now eyeing full-time spots at the local CrossFit box and a couple of boutique gyms. Problem? Not sure how to showcase this cert on my resume and in the interview. Got any tips on:
- phrasing the credential for ATS parsers
- referencing the 2022 ACSM Standards in my cover letter
- using the CPT exam score (I scored 92%) as a talking point
Also wondering if anyone has leveraged the ACSM CPET or CE modules to sweeten the deal. My LinkedIn already has the badge, but I'm hearing mixed advice on whether to add it to the "Skills" section or keep it in "Certifications."
Any real-world examples or template lines would be epic. Thanks! π
