Help: just passed my first B737‑800 line check, what’s the next step?
just nailed my first B737‑800 line check rn. spent 12 hrs on the FCOM, ran the entire FMC/CDU prog, even cleared a MEL on the fly. feeling like i just got my wings upgraded. anyone got advice on prepping for the next type rating? a320 or maybe a320neo? also any tips on keeping the EICAS chatter down during ops lol. tbh i’m still buzzing from the final approach check, can’t wait to log more hrs.
- cleared the 2‑engine start checklist without a hitch
- did a full ops briefing with the PIC, nailed the descent profile
- got a shout‑out from the chief for handling a minor fuel leak (melt) quick
anyone else remember the first line check nerves? share your war stories.
