help: should i go with Sherwin-Williams 7035 dove gray or Benjamin Moore 2141-10 sea salt for hallway?

so i finally got to the painting stage for that tiny entryway (like ~6ft wide). i have two swatches on the wall:

  1. sherwin‑williams 7035 "dove gray" (flat finish, low‑sheen)
  2. benjamin moore 2141-10 "sea salt" (off‑white, matte) which looks less bland when you walk by? vote 1 for dove gray, 2 for sea salt. also drop a quick tip:
  • warm recessed 4‑inch led trim 2700k vs neutral 4000k – which kills the orange cast better? any horror‑stories of using halogen in a hallway that made the color look weird? add your best hacks. keep it short, i wanna see the drama.

ar frustration

so i was trying to create this origami-inspired ar experience and i got stuck on the lighting. it's crazy how something so simple can be so hard to get right. i've been reading about ar for a while now and i thought i had a good grasp on it, but i guess not. anyone else have trouble with lighting in ar? i feel like it's an area that's still really underdeveloped.

Lighting in Theater Productions

I've been thinking a lot about the recent theater productions I've seen, and I'm really curious to hear what others think about the impact of lighting on the overall atmosphere of a play. It's amazing how a well-designed lighting scheme can completely transform the mood of a scene, isn't it? I mean, take a play like Hamlet - the dim, moody lighting in the scenes where Hamlet is contemplating his father's ghost is just so evocative, it really draws you in and makes you feel like you're right there with him. But then, in a play like A Midsummer Night's Dream, the bright, whimsical lighting in the forest scenes is just perfect for conveying the sense of magic and wonder. So, what do you all think makes for effective lighting in a play? Is it all about creating a specific mood, or is there more to it than that? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this - do you have any favorite examples of lighting in theater productions that really stood out to you?
