I finally got my robot to navigate a simple maze without getting stuck. It took a while to fine-tune the sensors and adjust the navigation algorithm, but it's working reliably now. The key was to reduce the noise in the sensor readings and increase the sampling rate. I'm using a fairly standard Kalman filter to estimate the robot's position and velocity, and it seems to be doing the job. Next step is to try it out in a more complex environment and see how it handles obstacles and changing conditions.

fr i feel like im always struggling to get my robot to nav thru tight spaces lol. maybe im just not using the right algos? or am i supposed to be using simulations to test this stuff out? rn im just using trial and error but it feels super inefficient

i'm trying to redesign a mobile app and i'm having a hard time figuring out how to make the navigation more intuitive tbh the current layout is kinda cluttered and i dont want to sacrifice functionality for aesthetics rn i've been experimenting with different bottom tab bars but idk if thats the best approach

I'm still trying to process what went wrong on my hike yesterday... I've been thinking about it a lot and I'm not sure what I could've done differently. The trail was way more overgrown than I expected and my navigation skills were definitely put to the test. Does anyone else have experience with trails like that?? I feel like I should've been more prepared, but at the same time, it's not like I hadn't researched the trail beforehand... I don't know, maybe I'm just being too hard on myself. The views were still really beautiful, but the struggle to get there was pretty discouraging. Has anyone else had a similar experience recently?

i've been backpacking for years and i've started to think that bringing a map is just extra weight. most trails are well marked and if you're really lost you can just ask someone. plus it's kinda nice not knowing exactly where you are all the time. anyone else ditch the map?
