How do I document a highway ghost sighting for a video portfolio using a Canon EOS R5 and FLIR One Gen 3?
Just pulled into 5000ft altitude off I-90 near the old Gettysburg ghost town. I was testing a new 50mm macro lens with the Canon EOS R5 and ended up filming what looks like a translucent silhouette that flickered in and out on the highway. I used the R5's in-built Night Vision mode (ISO 25600, shutter 1/120s) and the 4K sensor, plus an extra battery from the Nikon Z7 II to keep it rolling for 18 minutes. The footage is on 12K raw. I cut it together in Adobe Premiere Pro with color grading in the 7.9 sps log to highlight the unnatural bluish glow. I think it might go viral. Would love any feedback on composition and how to clean up that grain or if the phenomenon looks believable? Also curious about the right way to frame a haunted highway in a single shot for maximum effect. Anyone know of a good model number for a thermal camera that would pick up invisible energy? My current kit is a FLIR One Gen 3.

help: seeking vegan EVP recorder recommendations for low‑freq hauntings (model 7A‑SPECTRUM)
i've been messing with my indoor veg garden at night and swear i hear faint whispers on the 7‑khz band. heard some people swear by the 7a‑spectrum recorder for low‑freq evp, but i'm on a shoestring budget and prefer something plug‑and‑play that won't fry my kale lights. any specific units, mic specs, or firmware tweaks that work well in a veg‑friendly setting? also, any tips on isolating the signal from the hum of my grow‑lights would be gold.
thanks in advance
EMF meters are a red herring, not a ghost detector
I’ve been scouring forums and books for months, and every time I hit a post about EMF meters, I get the same tired line: ‘Just use a meter, it’ll show you the spirit.’
I’ve tried it. I walked into an old farmhouse, meter in hand, and the needle kept jittering like a nervous cat. The lights flickered, the air felt heavy, but the meter didn’t go off the charts. Then I turned the meter off, walked out, and the lights stayed steady.
EMF meters pick up electromagnetic interference from wiring, appliances, even the phone line. They’re great for checking a faulty outlet, not for catching a translucent apparition. If you’re looking for proof of a presence, go to a place with a history, talk to the locals, and record your own sensory experience.
So, stop treating the meter as a magic wand. It’s a tool for electricians, not for the afterlife. If you want real data, use audio recorders, infrared cameras, or simply trust your own senses.
What’s your experience? Have you ever found a ghost with a meter, or have you been disappointed like me?

Residual hauntings vs intelligent hauntings
I've been thinking about this a lot and I'm still not sure what to believe Are residual hauntings just a replay of past events or can they be influenced by our presence? I've heard stories where people claim to have interacted with residual hauntings but it sounds more like intelligent hauntings to me. Can someone explain the difference to me or share their own experiences?

Best resources on sleep paralysis?
I've been experiencing some weird stuff at night and I'm wondering if it's related to sleep paralysis. I've heard it's more common than people think but there's not a lot of good info out there. Can anyone recommend some solid resources or personal experiences with this? Not looking for medical jargon or generic health websites. Just something from people who've been there.
Quantum tunnelling implications for home projector tech
Just been thinking about the potential applications of quantum tunnelling in home projector technology. Specifically, how it could enhance optical transmission efficiency or even enable new forms of image encoding. Anyone else explored this intersection of paranormal speculation and practical tech? What are your thoughts?
