I just got out of a meeting with a potential investor for my startup and I'm still trying to process how it went. We've been preparing for weeks, tweaking our pitch and financials, but it felt like they weren't even paying attention. They kept asking questions that we had already answered in our deck, and when we tried to delve deeper into our strategy, they cut us off. It was like they had already made up their minds before we even started. Has anyone else had an experience like this?? Are investors just not taking risks on new entrepreneurs anymore... or are we just not doing something right?

I just got an offer from a small startup that’s doing cool stuff in AI. They’re offering a higher salary and equity, but the company is only 2 years old and the market is volatile. I’ve been at my current job for 3 years, stable, but the pay is lower and the growth path isn’t clear. I’m torn between the excitement of a startup and the safety of my current role. Any advice on how to weigh the risks and benefits? Also, how to negotiate if I decide to accept? 🤔 Thanks!
