How do I choose a laptop for opening mic sets without sounding like a pretentious bro?
So I finally upgraded my rig from a 2015 MacBook Air to a Pro M2 Max... but now I’m so overthinking my dry run. Like, is 4K pointless for 30-minute openers? My last set had... what? 14 people? Maybe we should’ve invested in stage presence over 120Hz refresh rates. I mean the latency is buttery, but does that even matter when your jokes land like wet newspapers? Anyway, any tech heads here use iLok licenses for sample rate control or am I just neurotically A/B testing my punchline compression presets? Never mind, I’m sure the real comedians here think all this matters is how many times they can say 'mic check' without it sounding like a cry for help.
