Why does my thermomix tm6 overheat the slow cooker rack while my mideia oven just hums

tbh my thermomix tm6 always sizzles a pot of pumpkin compote after a short 85 seconds ?? i set 130c and it lights the fire safety panel!! the mideia s500 is on standby 200c but when i fire up a sous-vide with the presto-pro 200k it still screams "overcooking error 212"

I'm really proud of the kitchen gear i just dropped $2k on - my seltz bld 580 electric press & 30 inch htx steam rack 🤫. yet every time i try the 7-layer lemon brioche recipe it turns out tasting like burnt caramel at the bottom ⚡️!!

any idea how i can get them to talk in the same language and finally give my muffin tray a taste of bliss? maybe I forgot to plug them into a proper surge protector??

Why does the new UEFA VAR firmware v2.3.1 increase game interruptions more than actual fouls?

The so‑called "upgrade" to VAR firmware v2.3.1 is nothing but an excuse for the league to delay matches while the tech geeks fiddle with their Kalman‑filter thresholds. We’re supposed to trust a 0.23 second decision window when the system still flags a "soft" offside on a 30‑yard diagonal run? Meanwhile the off‑side line drifts by half a metre because the Lidar array was calibrated with a cheap CCTV lens.

  • The new "EIGC" metric is a made‑up number to justify higher "accuracy" claims – it’s basically a weighted xG that nobody asked for.
  • Broadcasts now cut to a 5‑second "analysis" screen that repeats the same graphic three times while the ball sits idle. Fans are left wondering if the referee is watching a live match or a replay of a 2009 goal.
  • Clubs are forced to hire "VAR compliance officers" just to fill budget lines, a role that clearly exists to keep the tech vendors in business, not to improve the game.

Bottom line: the league is betting on a tech arms race while the average supporter just wants a decent ball and a decent half‑time. If you think this is progress, you’re either in the sponsor’s payroll or you haven’t seen a live match in years.

Anyone else sick of the VAR circus, or am I the only one who still watches for the actual football?

Everyone still buying 8'' trucks??

why people keep going 8'' trucks when 9'' shows a better pop and still look slick on old decks? 8'' were a thing of the past, but prices have stayed flat and no big diff in real‑world traction, just a little more drama on a rail. still get a lot of them off a pallet in the backyard with a 100$ discount, so it's still hype. what u think?

AR overlays are just a distraction

I've been using AR apps for a few months now, and I keep noticing that the overlays just crowd my view. I used to think AR was the next big thing for learning and navigation, but the more I use it, the more I feel like I'm looking at a digital billboard on my own living room. The constant pop‑ups and icons feel like a second brain that never stops talking. I think the industry should focus on subtle, context‑aware cues instead of flashy overlays. What do you think? Have you felt the same?

Body‑rigid‑lens combo vs. Rigid ccd/raspberry kit – Which is easier for deep‑sky pics?

been sorting a night out where I had the bike gear of one scene and the telescope of the other. quick rundown on two big‑talked‑about set‑ups:

• iPhone‑plus‑handy mount + tripod kit (the classic ‘free’ setup for a fast selfie of the Milky Way) vs.
• fully‑stowed CCD camera + single‑purpose 8" reflector (the heavyweight for serious detail on, like, M51).

handy‑tripod path: • almost 1 gram. no weather proof; low setup cost; • HDR blend or slow‑push by just nailing the phone steady; • you trade off real ISO‑cap 18-30 k – vs sensor noise peels on RAW 55+k; • total exposure window 8–12s keeps ghost trails minimal when using GPS to match map

heavy‑reflector path: • ~4‑5 kg – add 30% travel; mount needs alignment board; a 24/01 500‑mm lens helps speed; • native resolution 16:9 20Mp, superlow read‑noise if a front‑side‑illuminated CCD – plus cooling tricks; • with guiding, exposure length can hit 30‑60m, keep flat field in play; • but you gotta tweak GPS with star‑list header updates to lock out Earth‑spin.

choose the portable kit for quick dips, like a backyard video or a crew travel Vlog; go the high‑end model when you need clean images for paper or a set list in your gig routine. one pro tip—take a calibrate night; test both stacks on identical stars so the difference is real not myth.

What works best for you? let me know any clever combos.

How do I choose a laptop for opening mic sets without sounding like a pretentious bro?

So I finally upgraded my rig from a 2015 MacBook Air to a Pro M2 Max... but now I’m so overthinking my dry run. Like, is 4K pointless for 30-minute openers? My last set had... what? 14 people? Maybe we should’ve invested in stage presence over 120Hz refresh rates. I mean the latency is buttery, but does that even matter when your jokes land like wet newspapers? Anyway, any tech heads here use iLok licenses for sample rate control or am I just neurotically A/B testing my punchline compression presets? Never mind, I’m sure the real comedians here think all this matters is how many times they can say 'mic check' without it sounding like a cry for help.

Ghost net detection vs 3M 4281 for wave spectral analysis?

Trying to calibrate my Quiksilver 8'2" board for interdimensional swell detection. How fine-tuned is the 3M 4281 grip wax on the nose compared to your standard epoxy job? I've heard the old salts around Pipeline claim they've felt the ocean 'hum' during lunar eclipses. Real effect or just barnacle gassiness?

  • Should I add neodymium magnets in the fins for ghost net interference detection
  • Heard Mark Richards swears by black-light wetsuit wax under starlit conditions
  • Any shapers run FEA models on board flex patterns during meteor showers
