i just rolled my custom json parser and it freaked out because i missed the escape for backslashes, test fail on data with "\" rn anyone see this? need some advice

I've been working on a personal project and every few months I end up redoing the entire thing because I think the current structure is crap. I'm not talking about refactoring, I mean starting over with a new design, new tools, the whole nine yards. I've done this like three times already and it's getting old. I'm starting to think I'm just not cut out for maintaining code or something. Is this a thing that happens to other devs or am I just being a flakes?

decompiled 5gb java nightmare into clean repo w tf30782103n9s patches in my sleep. yeah not even bragging? i fixed broken dependencies + deleted dead files??... no one ask where that time comes from. still broken like 70 percent?? who else here fighting legacy systems like its mma??? or am i... me being delusional again... plz yall someone confirm suffering rn?
