Why does my 2020 Specialized Tarmac keep flat after long rides?

i just dropped 300$ on a 2020 specialized tarmac with a 30mm rim, 700c wheels, 25c continental grand prix 5000 tires, set to 90psi with my cheap gauge but after 100 miles the tires keep popping flat, no punctures, no obvious leaks, just flat. i even tried the same set up with schwalbe 25c, same result. rim depth? tire bead? i feel like i’m wasting cash and time. anyone else having the same issue? help??

Why does every bike rack at the park have a missing bolt?

Just got back from a night ride and tried to lock my bike at the usual spot. The rack was half‑rusted, one of the bolts was gone and the whole thing wobbled like a cheap folding chair. Had to leave the lock dangling and hope for the best. Anyone else dealing with these half‑finished racks? Feels like the city wants us to bike but can't be bothered to actually maintain the basics.

oh no, messed up my bike gears

just realized i mixed up my bike's gears i thought the 10‑12 range was the low ones but it's actually the high ones. got stuck in the middle of a trail, felt kinda embarrassed 😬 anyone else had a similar mix‑up? maybe i should double‑check the gear indicator next time. would love to hear your tips!

my bike feels slower on flat days 🤔

noticed my rides on flat streets are weird lately. same effort, lower speed. maybe tire pressure? or just me not shifting right. anyone else feel this? any quick tweaks help?

Ever take detours mid-route?

I was out on my bike ride tonight, supposed to take the usualroute back home, but I ended up seeing this tiny dirt path I'd nevernoticed before. So I veered off and took it, ended up riding through somepretty rough terrain for a bit. It was actually kind of exhilarating.Felt like I was exploring or something. Anyone else ever done this, where you just abandon your planned route and see where some random pathlets you? Like, is that a normal thing for cyclists to do, or am Ijust being reckless?

How can i strip down my road bike to a minimalist setup without losing performance?

i’ve been trying to cut down my gear to the bare essentials and it’s kinda messing with my rides rn tbh i’m not sure if i should ditch the derailleur or just keep a single speed setup

i’m on a road bike with a 1x12 cassette, a full set of brake pads, a bunch of spare tubes and a whole bunch of bolts that i never use

my goal is to keep the bike light and simple but still have enough power for hills and long rides

so i’m wondering if anyone has a good minimalist build that still does the job? maybe a specific cassette or a lighter frame? also any tips on how to keep maintenance low while staying minimal would be great

any recommendations or experiences would be appreciated lol
