Why does the Figma plugin 'UX Audit' crash with error 0x80070005 on macOS 13.2?
Installed UX Audit on my MacBook Pro (macOS 13.2). Plugin says it’s only for Windows. Error 0x80070005 pops up. I read the manifest: it references the ‘Design System’ API, which I thought was only in Figma 42.0. That seems off??
- Manifest lists "platforms": ["windows"]
- Error code: 0x80070005
- Figma version: 42.0
- macOS: 13.2
Anyone else hit this? Maybe the compatibility flag is wrong or the API version is misdeclared??
Also, does anyone know if the plugin supports the new macOS Big Sur security model? ...
old world vs new world wines??
so ive been tasting a lot of wines lately and i cant help but wonder whats the real difference between old world and new world wines.. is it just the location or is there something more to it??
Why does a warm Merlot pair well with Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat major
I feel like there's a connection between the mellow notes of a warm Merlot and the soothing melodies of Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat major. Maybe it's the way the wine's subtle tannins complement the piece's delicate phrasing. I've been listening to this nocturne a lot lately, and I noticed that a warm Merlot seems to enhance the experience. The wine's flavors seem to resonate with the music's emotional depth. I'd love to hear from others who've had similar experiences.
wine scoring is overrated
tbh i've been thinking about this a lot lately, and imo wine scoring systems are kinda pointless. theyre so subjective and often influenced by the winemakers reputation or the price tag. i recently tasted some amazing wines in tuscany that would probably get low scores from the big critics, but they were perfect for the local cuisine and culture. tbh, i think we should focus more on the experience and the story behind the wine, rather than just the number
Need a new indie folk album recommendation?
Been listening to a lot of folk lately, but my playlist is getting stale. Anyone know a good indie folk album that hasn't hit the mainstream yet? Prefer something with acoustic vibes and thoughtful lyrics. Thanks!
any good wine recs rn
imo most wines i've tried lately have been pretty meh tbh, need something to wake up my taste buds lol. someone give me a wine thatll actually make me feel something, doesnt have to be expensive or anything
Why does 'oaky' mean different things to everyone?
i had a pinot that was labeled 'oaky' but tasted like... cardboard? or maybe i just need to learn the lingo... anyone else feel like these descriptors are vibes and not actual taste??
old vs new world wines?
so i've been tasting a lot of wines lately and i'm still not sure which i prefer... old world or new world?? i mean, old world wines have that classic taste, but new world wines are so much more experimental... what do you guys think?? is it just me or do new world wines have more flavor??
why does every 'educational' video autoplay??
ngl tbh i get why people autoplay videos for the vibe but when it's like a 45min lecture on mitochondrial matrix and it starts blaring at 2am ??? like am i the only one who needs to focus on the damn content without notifications going off 🤦♂️ maybe just have a 'mute by default' option or something idk just feels like a small but real annoyance 🚫
do people actually taste the finish after the first sip?
i've been doing that for a while, but i'm not sure if it's a thing or just me overthinking it lol
when i pour a glass i usually take a big sip, let it sit, then do a second sip to see if the flavor changes
is that normal or am i just messing around with my own palate rn
Should hikers yield to runners on trails?
so i was out on a trail today and this runner zoomed past me super close. i was like dude, give some space. but then i wondered, is it standard to yield to runners? or should they slow down for hikers? imo, hikers have the right of way since we're moving slower and harder. but some people argue runners should adjust. what's the consensus here?
app mismatched my wine and dessert
idk just tried the new tasting kit from that app and they matched a fullbodied red with a lemon tart - like they forgot the basics lol i dont know if it's the devs or just my palate but it's a weird mix
any suggestions for a light red to pair with grilled salmon?
so i tried a pinot noir from oregon last night, kinda bright but needed something softer for the salmon tbh i’m looking for a light red that won’t overwhelm the fish any go‑to bottles or regions you love rn i’m on a budget but willing to splurge if it’s worth it lol
why does my 2018 amarone taste like a 2020 en primeur after a cheap plastic pour?
fr just did the classic 2020 en primeur vs 2018 amarone test i poured the old amarone into a cheap clear plastic cup, swirled like a pretentious sommelier, sniffed, and bam—same black‑cherry notes, but with half the tannins tbh maybe it's the CVI 19.03 buffer on the cork or just my brain adjusting to the OIV pH shift anyone else seen the decanter‑effect disappear when you ditch the crystal goblet? rn waiting for the forum's elite to debunk my 'plastic palate' theory lol
Let Kids Stay Up Late Sometimes
I get it—bedtime routines are supposed to teach discipline. But what if we’re overdoing it? My 9-year-old’s been begging to stay up past 9pm a few nights a week. Sure, she’s a ‘toddler’ by some standards, but she’s responsible enough to pick her own bedtime sometimes. Last week she stayed up until 10, read a book, and still got up early. No meltdowns. No zombie energy the next day.
We’re so fixated on ‘structure’ that we forget kids need flexibility to learn their own limits. Trust me, I’ve seen enough ‘structured’ households where kids just stare at screens until they pass out. At least this way, she’s making choices. Am I raising a night owl? Maybe. But she’s also learning trust and accountability. Thoughts?
wine tastings are getting ridiculous
so i went to this wine tasting event last weekend and they had the nerve to serve a merlot that was clearly too young. i mean come on, who does that? it was like they just grabbed a random bottle off the shelf without even checking the vintage. and the worst part is everyone around me was oohing and ahhing over it like it was some kind of masterpiece. i swear, some people just dont know the first thing about wine. and another thing, the pours were way too small. i mean, how are you supposed to really appreciate the flavors when you only get a thimbleful? it was pretty frustrating, to be honest.
Help: Should I allocate 30% of my wine‑focused portfolio to VWRL vs SSAC for global equity exposure?
I’m building a modest portfolio that mirrors my wine tasting hobby – about 30% in wine assets (e.g., wine futures, fine‑wine ETFs) and the rest in equities. I’m torn between two UCITS ETFs:
- Vanguard FTSE All‑World UCITS (VWRL) – low TER, broad exposure, EUR‑hedged?
- iShares MSCI ACWI (SSAC) – slightly higher TER, includes emerging markets, USD‑hedged?
My questions:
- Which one pairs better with a wine‑centric allocation? I worry about currency mismatch with European wine purchases.
- How do the dividend yields (VWRL ~2.3% vs SSAC ~1.9%) impact a low‑turnover strategy?
- Any tax quirks in the UK for UCITS that hold a large proportion of wine‑related holdings?
- Should I consider a small allocation to a sector‑specific fund (e.g., luxury goods) to complement the wine theme?
Any concrete experiences, broker tips, or back‑test results would be gold. Thanks.

accidentally salted a whole bottle of red
lol so i was hosting this casual tasting and somehow the salt shaker got mixed in with the wine. tbh it was a dumb moment but now i check labels twice lol. anyone else had a rookie move they wish they could take back?
Oops, wrong lane at the pool...?
I walked out of a gym, water still dripping from my hair, thinking I’d hit the 200m freestyle warm‑up when really I was stepping into the backstroke lane. It was a rookie mistake, and everyone thought I just meant it. Turns out the instructor had switched the lane markings this morning. I spent two minutes doing backstroke without anyone noticing! Felt a little embarrassed, but the group cheered when I finally noticed. Anyway, if you ever find yourself in lane #7 after planning for a different race, just roll with it—everyone has one of those moments.
I guess that’s my quick story—turns out not every small mistake has to be a major flop. Anyone else been thrown off by a lane shuffle? 😅
do people usually plan trips around a single activity
im just wondering if im weird for doing this but like every time i travel somewhere new i tend to plan my whole trip around one thing i really want to do or see rn im thinking about going to japan and all i can think about is hiking mount fuji so im gonna build my whole itinerary around that lol is that normal or am i just being lazy
